📦 Installation
Option 1: Install via HACS
Open Home Assistant.
Go to HACS.
Open the menu in the top-right corner and select Custom repositories.
Add this repository URL:
https://github.com/Adya84/ha-world-cup-2026Select Integration as the category.
Click Add.
Search for World Cup 2026 in HACS.
Download and install the integration.
Restart Home Assistant.
Option 2: Manual Installation
Download or clone this repository.
Copy:
custom_components/world_cup_2026into:
config/custom_components/world_cup_2026Restart Home Assistant.
⚙️ Configuration
- Go to Settings → Devices & Services.
- Click Add Integration.
- Search for World Cup 2026.
- Enter your football-data.org API key.
- Complete setup.
🧪 Demo Mode
Demo Mode can be enabled after setup.
- Open Settings → Devices & Services.
- Select World Cup 2026.
- Click Configure.
- Enable Demo Mode.
- Save.
Demo mode loads local tournament data allowing full dashboard testing before the tournament begins.

A valid API key is required for live tournament data.
